AUI is proud to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeast Ohio as part of our 50 Years, 50 Acts campaign. Our team collected donations for dress down days at the office. The Alzheimer’s Association is making a significant impact by providing critical support, education, and advocacy for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
This organization is dedicated to addressing the needs of patients, caregivers, and families by offering a wide range of services tailored to the community. Through local outreach efforts, the association ensures that resources are accessible to everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status.
About Our Local Alzheimer’s Association Chapter:

The Alzheimer’s Association in Northeast Ohio is raising awareness about the disease and its early warning signs. The Alzheimer’s Association conducts workshops, seminars, and community presentations to educate the public about the importance of early detection and treatment options. These initiatives aim to reduce stigma and encourage individuals to seek help as soon as symptoms arise. Furthermore, they collaborate with local healthcare providers to enhance diagnostic services and improve care pathways for those living with Alzheimer’s.
Support for caregivers is another cornerstone of their efforts. In Northeast Ohio, the Alzheimer’s Association offers caregiver support groups, personalized counseling, and respite care programs. These services provide emotional relief and practical strategies to help caregivers navigate the challenges of looking after a loved one with dementia. The association also works to connect caregivers with resources like financial planning and legal advice, ensuring they are equipped to handle the complex needs of their role.

How to Get Involved:
Today, the organization is a driving force in Alzheimer’s research and policy advocacy. By partnering with research institutions and participating in national fundraising events like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the Northeast Ohio chapter contributes to the global effort to find a cure. They also advocate at the state and federal levels for policies that support increased funding for Alzheimer’s research and improved care infrastructure.
Through these diverse initiatives, the Alzheimer’s Association is not only providing immediate assistance but also fostering hope for a future without this devastating disease. Their work in Northeast Ohio exemplifies their broader mission of creating a world where Alzheimer’s no longer robs individuals and families of their memories and quality of life.
