AUI was proud to be a sponsor of the Good Samaritan Hunger Center’s “Sips of the City” event September 30th, 2023. Thank you, Michael Berube, for representing our team at this year’s event. All the proceeds generated from the evening went to support the Greater Akron Mobile Pantry. The mobile pantry takes food directly to our local communities in need and through the Greater Akron Food bank, they served almost 30,000 people in 2022.
About Sips for the City
No one deserves to go hungry. Through the Greater Akron Food Bank, our donations help take a bite out of hunger and food insecurity in the Akron, Ohio area. While today, we know that at least 1-6 people don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Many of those are our elderly, and children. The Sips of the City event is the largest and most impactful event of the year that supports our community efforts to end food insecurity in our community.
AUI feels that by doing good in our local community, we lift each other up, one person at a time. We can’t think of a better way than to partner with organizations like Good Samaritan Hunger Center for events like this. Thank you to everyone in the community that came out to support this effort.
