November 15th  is National Philanthropy Day and the team at AUI has chosen to support the Good Samaritan Hunger Center.  We asked our team to determine needs within our Northeast, Ohio community and they came back with many good options.  The team voted to support this incredible organization with an amazing mission to help thousands of people in our community with food insecurity.

We could not be more proud of our team, and are honored to support this cause, by providing support for their purchase of turkeys for the holiday season.

About the Good Samaritan Hunger Center:

With a mission to alleviate food insecurities for individuals and families in the Akron, Ohio area, the Good Samaritan Hunger Center has distributed food to more than 26 thousand people in one year alone.  They had over 6 thousand volunteers in 2021.

This incredible organization still needs your help to distribute turkeys and side dishes, for Thanksgiving.  There will be snacks and beverages for volunteers.  This year the distribution is on Monday, November 21st at Joy Park, 825 James Ingram Way in Akron.  If you are interested in signing up to help with distribution, please check out their Signup Genius HERE
