Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer of women?  In fact, heart disease claims more women’s lives than all forms of cancer combined!  Many of these deaths can be prevented, but most women do not notice the symptoms until it is too late.  To raise awareness about heart disease in women, the American Heart Association sponsors National Wear Red Day in February.

At AUI, we believe that raising awareness about wellness is important.  That is why our office participated in this event on Friday, February 7, 2014.

For more information about how heart disease impacts the women in our community you can visit the American Heart Association or Go Red for Women.
