For more than 30 years the St. Francis Xavier Parish in Medina has hosted a golf outing to benefit those most in need in the Medina County community. This year, they again chose to support the needy through the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The team at AUI was proud to be a hole sponsor for the event. The event raised almost $38,000.00 which was a record!
About the St. Francis Xavier Golf Outing for St. Vincent de Paul:
Men & women came together for a day of fun, food, and golf to benefit St. Vincent de Paul. Father Tony began the event with mass as he has done for the past several years. This year there were two very special people that were honored for their years of service to the Parish of St. Francis Xavier and the community. They recognized Deacon Joe Loutzenhiser & Deacon Jim Schlund who have passed on in previous years, but the work they have done lives on.
About St. Vincent de Paul:
Annually the St. Vincent de Paul provides food and other help to the needy in the Cleveland Diocese. Those they help include Single moms facing eviction and homelessness. Families hoping to eat tonight. Parents laid off from work facing a disconnection notices. They help scared parents unsure how they will pay rent. St. Vincent de Paul helps adults sleeping on the floor because they don’t have a bed. They help Parents who can’t afford Christmas gifts for their children. St. Vincent de Paul also help Families who have lost everything in devastating disasters.
