AUI Gives Back – Act # 26 Rubber City Rescue

50 Years 50 Acts of Serivce, AUI Gives Back

The team at AUI and ClarityHR chose Rubber City Rescue to be our charity of choice for our “Give Something Away Day” in August 2024.  This nonprofit is different than other rescuers that look to sell dogs and cats for profit.

Rubber City Rescue is a boot on the ground organization looking for stray animals found on the streets of our community.  They trap and try to find a pet’s owner through microchipping and community outreach to find the owners.  If the owners are not found, they send them to Summit County Animal Control or the Humane Society.  They also try to foster as many animals as they can.

We are proud to support their efforts in helping animals in our community.

About Rubber City Rescue:

Dog found by Rubber City Rescue As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Rubber City Rescue offers a stolen dog task force. Working diligently to reunite dogs with their owners.  We have a very high success rate in finding lost or stollen pets. Following all legal channels to the point that if charges need to be brought against that one person that door is always open for that Owner.

We also help folks in many other ways. If a dog is a repeat runaway offender, we asked that owner what can we do to keep your pet safe. If it’s just repairing a broken fence, we come together as a collective and fix the fence. we also help those pets that go to animal control and owner cannot afford to get them out. Rubber City Rescue has also on occasions when stock is plenty, donate food for pets of families in need.

Review from Shane about Rubber City Rescue

Our organization never charges for the work that they do. 10% of the work is subsidized by generous donations. They put their heart, soul, time, and energy to every pet equally no matter who the owner is.
