Rebuilding Together Northeast Ohio (RTNEO) Serving Stark County will be assisting Canton veterans Jolene Gustin, Bettie Bell and Johnson Jackson on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2015 (8:30 a.m.—3:00 p.m.) with home renovations.  RTNEO will work with more than 50 volunteers, including volunteers from Erie Insurance, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, Premier Bank & Trust, and the Stark County Court of Common Pleas Honor Court for Veterans to complete upgrades to plumbing and electrical wiring, the installation of new doors, replacing flooring, light landscaping, and painting.

RTNEO operates in Stark County under the oversight of nine local advisory board members, including Nicole Hamilton Richard, Chairperson; Rita Perez, Vice Chairperson; Lisa M. Williams, Secretary; and Terri McConnaughy, Treasurer, Wayne “Butch” Mankowski, Andy Alayamini, Joseph Sekely, II, David Harris, and Frank Kemp.  The Stark County Advisory Board focuses its efforts on assisting local veterans.  Funding for this year’s projects has been provided by Lowe’s, the City of Canton, Erie Insurance, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, and Premier Bank & Trust, and AUI. In addition, Pizza Oven will donate lunches for all volunteers; and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will provide free financial coaching services to each homeowner.
